    Secura Halogen Oven Review

Everyone these days lives busy lives, and that means that anything that can be done to make life a bit simpler should be done. That means that when you find a product that will cook meals in half the time, it is time to take it home. This is just what happens when you purchase the Secura Halogen Infrared Turbo Convection Countertop Oven with the Deluxe Package w/Extender Ring.

The Secura Halogen Infrared Turbo Convection Oven is different from conventions ovens in that it uses infrared technology to quickly cook food. It is also different from microwave ovens because even though it does cook rapidly, it also browns and can bake as well.

So, why Should you Buy the Secura?

The Secura Turbo Oven uses technology in a different way than conventional and microwave ovens. It uses infrared heat and a convection fan to cook food more rapidly and evenly throughout. There is no need to take food out of the freezer and let it stand in the fridge until it is thawed. For those last minute meals where you have to have a whole turkey ready in just a few hours, all you have to do is take it out of the freezer, season it and stick it in the Secura Turbo. It will cook thoroughly in about two and one half hours. This is unlike anything that can be done with a conventional oven. Along with that, you can also barbecue, bake, broil, roast, grill, steam and fry, all without any need for oil.

This oven has manual dial switches for turning up the power, with timer indicator lights that are easy to operate. All you have to do is select and then set the temperature and timer. It is also close to the speed of cooking with a microwave while producing oven quality food. It thaws out frozen food in just minutes, and has a self cleaning feature that makes it a breeze to use. Because it cooks so quickly, it sears the outside of meats to seal in the juices and natural flavors.

You can actually cook a whole meal all at the same time without having any of the flavors mingle with each other. Since there are no fats needed to cook with in the Secura Turbo, cooking healthy meals is a snap. It uses about half the power of a conventional oven so saving money is not a question.

Clean up is easier than ever with the detachable power cord, and all you have to do is throw everything except the power head and cord into the dishwasher and you are ready to go.

    Cons of the Secura Turbo

With all of this said, you might be thinking that this is the perfect solution to your oven needs. Wait a minute; everything has a drawback to it, and so does the Secura. If you intend to be cooking for a large family or several people at a time, this might not be the ideal way to cook all of the food you will need, but it is ideal for a small family. Some users also have problems with getting the browning effect they desire.

    Owner Reviews

Here are some things that some owners have to say about their experiences with the Secura Halogen Infrared Turbo Convection Countertop Oven.

Charles had this to say about his Secura Turbo:

“I have a friend who has a Flavorwave Oven, and he just loves it and uses it every day. When I saw it in action several times, and after eating the chicken, beef, and fish he cooked on it, I wanted one of my own. After searching, I found the Secura Infrared Tabletop Turbo Oven. It is very similar to the Flavorwave Oven except that it was two thirds the price, and came with a free Extender Ring. I saw that it had a five star rating and decided I would buy it.

After cooking chicken, beef, pork loin, chicken thighs, fish and vegetables in my Secura, I have to say that they all come out juicy and flavorful, and with no oil of fat when I take it out of the cooker. Even re-heated, them eat is still just as juicy. I found that I could even cook breaded butterfly shrimp, pizza rolls and other processed foods in just 10 minutes.”

    Semi was also impressed:

“I absolutely love this oven. In the past, I have owned NuWave oven, but this one is so much better. It heats faster than the NuWave, and as soon as I turn it on I feel the heat. The see through glass bowl is more solid than the cheap bowl that comes with the NuWave, and I don’t have to worry about leaching from polymerizers in the plastic.”

The Secura Turbo is a great buy, costing less than the NuWave and that makes it a good value when considering that it will cost less to run than a conventional oven, it is more likely that you will not have waste from dried out undesirable foods.
